Pesto Puff Pastry Recipe

You can do this with only 3 ingredients! Surprise your friends, with this recipe, at a dinner party!


We are fanatics about Pesto and everything we can do with it! Our Pesto is always homemade and we always like to innovate in flavor and always add something new! As we have to take advantage of all the basil leaves in our mini garden, we always have lots of Pesto here at home!

This recipe is super simple and is so good to eat, it is the perfect entry to a good Italian dinner with friends, and everyone will be amazed by its simplicity and flavor.

Pesto Puff Pastry - The2Planners


1 Puff Pastry (230 g)
200mL Pesto Sauce - Recipe Here
3 Egg Yolks 


1. Turn on the oven at 180 Celsius degrees | 356 Fahrenheit degrees.

2. Roll out the puff pastry on a bench and cut the sides into strips.

3. Fill the central rectangle with a lot of pesto sauce and start to cover the pesto with the strips, previously cut, in the shape of a braid.

4. After completely closed, whisk two egg yolks and brush the puff pastry with it.

5. Bake until golden/toasted, about 15 minutes in the oven.
