Golden Codfish Recipe

You will eat with your eyes! A very delicious and beautiful recipe!


There is no color more beautiful than the yellow of the golden cod that comes from the homemade eggs of the chickens in the yard! With the freshness of the freshly picked parsley, there is a plate to eat and cry for more! 

That's why it's called Golden Codfish! In Portugal is a very traditional recipe to do in a dinner for friends and family! Yes we eat a lot of Cod in Portugal, but it's part of our tradition 😊

Golden Codfish - the2planners


800g Desalted Shredded Cod
500g Potatoes
1 Carrot
3 Eggs
2 Bay Leaves
Olive oil
Oil to fry


1. Cut the potatoes into sticks and fry until golden.

2. In a pan, place the cod to sauté with the oil, salt, bay leaves, and the chopped carrots.

3. Add the potatoes to the cod mixture and add fresh parsley.

4. In a bowl, whisk 3 eggs and add to the refuse to obtain the golden color and turn off the stove.

5. Remove the bay leaves and serve on a platter or plate adding more freshly cut fresh parsley.
