Apple Crumble Recipe

If we can describe Christmas in one recipe, THIS IS IT! Every bite you'll take will transport you to your own childhood memories! The flavor is amazing, the sweetness of the apple, with the cinnamon and the lemon juice!

It looks like it has a lot of steps to make, but no, we break it down for you in three very easy steps, crust, filling, and crumble!

Apple Crumble Recipe - The2PlannersIngredients - Crust:

300g All-Purpose Flour
30g Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Salt
120g Butter, room temperature and cut into cubes
8-10 tbsp Ice Water

Ingredients - Filling:

7-8 Apples, peeled and grated
120g Light Brown Sugar
26g All-Purpose Flour
2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
¼ tsp Nutmeg Powder
1 tbsp Lemon Juice

Ingredients - Crumble:

155g All-Purpose Flour
150g Light Brown Sugar
100g Butter, melted and cooled


1. You'll have to do this recipe in three steps, super easy ones, the crust, the filling, and the crumble!


      1. In a large bowl, place the flour, sugar, and salt.

      2. Add the butter and incorporate everything with your hands, pay attention to the butter - it must be at room temperature.

      3. Knead and add the water until you get a smooth and consistent dough.

      4. Place the dough on a flat surface and with the help of a kitchen roll, roll out the dough.

      5. After it is stretched, place it on a tray and cut the remaining ends.


      1. Peel 7-8 apples and grate them.

      2. In a large bowl, add the grated apples, light brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.

      3. Stir everything well.

      4. Place over the crust on the tray.


      1. Melt the butter and place it in a bowl to cool.

      2. In another bowl, add the sugar and flour, and when the butter has cooled add to the mixture.

      3. Incorporate everything until you create enough crumbs.

      4. Pour the crumbs over the filling on the tray.

2. Place the tray in the oven for 40 min at 180ºC | 356ºF or until the crumble starts to brown.

3. Let it cool a little bit and then add a spoon of vanilla ice cream and enjoy this amazing recipe!
